While in San Diego we had the opportunity to visit their Botanic Garden. As avid beekeepers our “antenna” are always up to observe the local pollinators, particularly honeybees. We had the chance to watch bees work the Bottle Brush trees in the park. Such beautiful and unique flowers! We had a wonderful day strolling around the gardens and photographing bees. We will have photos from the Botanic Garden featured on our Bee Ye Kind cards. To learn more about the San Diego Botanic Garden here is the link: www.sdbgarden.org/
This photo was taken in the new wildflower field we planted this spring (June 1, 2015). This year’s honey has a nice combination of white clover and wildflowers.
This is our first post on our blog. We are a couple of beekeepers who happen to enjoy all things bees and especially photographing bees on a variety of flowers in a variety of locations. All photos will be available on greeting cards and printed canvases.
